Classes/Workshops
For the latest on Classes, Workshops, Auditions and SFDC Community News go to News & Events. Please arrive at the Dance Center at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the class to check in and pay for class.
DROP IN (NON-MEMBER) RATES AND PROFESSIONAL RATE
Dance Center classes are open to the public and students who are not members simply pay the drop in rate of $13 to take a class.
In January 2007 the Dance Center instituted a drop in rate of $11 for professional dancers. To qualify you must be a member of an arts union (AFTRA, AGMA, Equity, SAG) or a member of one of the following professional Bay Area companies:

We accept the following forms of payment:
• Cash
• Checks: in-state checks only with your address printed on the check. Please
write your phone number on the check as well.
• Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard & Discover.
• Debit Cards: with Visa or Mastercard logo.
Some instructors rent space from the Center and collect money directly
from their students for their classes. The rates for those classes
vary and you should contact those instructors directly for information.
Those classes are shaded on the main schedule class schedule.
The New and Improved Membership Program
Now With 90-day Discount Class Expiration!
Beginning January 2, 2008, dancers who are San Francisco Dance Center Members will be able to purchase groups of classes at a significant discount with a 90-day expiration, instead of the current 30-day or 60-day. The 90-day expiration date will apply to all class cards
purchased by members on or after Jan. 2, 2008.
Current members will enjoy the new 90-day expiration until their membership expires. New members and current members who need to renew will pay just $30 per year.
New Class Discount Pricing
For the first time since the Membership Program began more than 3 years ago, we will be changing the prices of our discounted classes and adding an additional discount choice. The new choices are:
Number of Classes Discount Price
4 class discount = $48 ($12 per class)
8 class discount = $88 ($11 per class)
12 class discount = $120 ($10 per class)
16 class discount = $152 ($9.50 per class)
20 class discount = $180 ($9.00 per class)
Discounts for Non Members
Finally, non-members will also be able to purchase discounted classes. However, their classes will expire in only 30 days, instead of the significantly longer 90 days, enjoyed by members. Also, they won¹t be able
to enjoy any of the member privileges listed below.
Member Privileges
All San Francisco Dance Center members will enjoy the following privileges:
• Purchase discounted classes with a 90-day expiration
• $5 discount off San Francisco Dance Center Master Classes
• $15 student tickets for LINES Ballet performances
(Limited number available for selected performances)
• One free GYROTONIC® introductory session
• 15% off your first 10-pack of GYROKINESIS® classes
• 10% discount on all merchandise at San Francisco Dancewear in San Francisco (on Mission near 3rd Street) and Oakland. NOTE: Pointe shoes excluded. Discount may not be combined with other discounts.
• 33% discount for physical therapy with Brion Charles of Dance Sport, located in the same building as SFDC. Call 415-921-6306 for an appointment. Brion is a licensed Physical Therapist, specializing in dancers, and has danced himself for more than 30 years. Sessions are a blend of Myofascial Release bodywork combined with techniques for injury prevention, alignment,
and strength.
• 20% discount on each session with Dr. John DeRoy (120 B Hickory
Street in Hayes Valley, San Francisco Mon., Tue., Thu., Fri., Sat.). Call
415.864.7860 for an appointment. A dance specialist, Dr. DeRoy has worked
with dancers from Paul Taylor, LINES Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and
virtually every other dance company that performs in San Francisco.
• Free 20 minute consultation and a $20 discount on Acupuncture with
Winnie Chin, M.S., L.Ac. Call 415.269.1212 for an appointment. A modern and
Chinese dancer from New York City, Winnie Chin is now a nationally certified
practitioner of acupuncture
