New in the Fall of 2018, Dance for PDⓇ comes to LINES Dance Center through weekly classes. Join experienced Teaching Artists for a time of creativity, exploration, community and dance. Held in the iconic studios of Alonzo King LINES Ballet and in partnership with PDSF Network, the official San Francisco Dance for PDⓇ class finds its new home.
LINES brings and authentic and accessible approach to the Dance for PDⓇ connecting to the philosophy and approach of Alonzo King. Believing that art is intrinsic in all of us, the Dance for PDⓇ class at LINES provides an environment for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their loved ones to explore dance and creativity in a gentle and encouraging environment. Led by Dance for PDⓇ trained teachers Marika Brussel and Erin Carper, participants build community and strength collectively while moving through gentle exercises, combinations and rituals. The class is designed for varied abilities and strength and welcoming to all dealing with PD. Class includes live accompaniment and begins seated in chairs.
Be moved in an environment that is welcoming and encouraging for all!
