LINES Day Workshops

Join us for our one-day online workshops serving dance artists ages 11-25. Encounter the transformative approach that is Alonzo King LINES Ballet education. This LINES Day experience will be led by former LINES Ballet company members or esteemed LINES faculty. LINES Day Workshops are offered as part of the 2021 Summer Program audition process to give prospective students a taste of LINES Ballet’s dynamic online dance curriculum. These workshops may also be enjoyed by any young artists who want to attend as a standalone immersive dance experience.

Summer Program Information

Alonzo King LINES Ballet | Summer Program is designed for aspiring artists ages 11-25 and offers a unified approach to training — rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King. Dancers are guided on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking and independent thinking. All classes are taught by previous LINES Company members with the exception of select Guest Artist workshops. Our aim is to supply a solid technical underpinning, based in classical training, and to provide an environment for the unfolding of the students’ own creative power. Our students are encouraged to problem solve through exploration and a tenacious work ethic. Emphasis is placed on cultivating the ability to recognize individual gifts and express themselves with fluency.

At this time, our Online Pre-Professional, Advanced and Junior Summer Programs are confirmed. If San Francisco, California mandates permit, in addition to our online programs, we will offer in-person programs with limited capacity.
