LINES BALLET | SUMMER PROGRAMS

Pre-Professional Program | June 3 – 29 | Ages 18 – 25
This highly rigorous four-week intensive is designed for the aspiring dance professionals. Our program enriches technical and artistic mastery and engages students in an immersive choreographic process.

Advanced Program | July 8 – August 2 | Ages 14 – 17
This challenging four-week intensive supports the growth of the advanced contemporary ballet dancers. Our program develops individual artistry, technical proficiency, and immerses students in a rich creative process.

Junior Program | July 1 – 5 | Ages 11 -14
A robust one-week intensive designed for intermediate dancers that introduces the LINES Ballet philosophy, LINES Ballet Repertoire and supports the technical and artistic growth of contemporary ballet dancers.

 Curriculum may include: Ballet, Pointe, Men’s Class, Contemporary Partnering, Improvisation, Modern, LINES Ballet Repertoire, Choreography and GYROTONIC . Program Curriculum is subject to change.

  Students dance a minimum of 40 hours a week, culminating in an evening Showcase Performance at a San Francisco landmark theater.

AUDITION

FEES

Tuition | Regular: $2,880
Tuition | Early: $2,800 on or before March 11
25% deposit due upon program enrollment

Limited scholarships available. Awards are based on a combination of student’s financial need and artistic potential. Must attend a live audition to apply.


HOUSING OPTIONS


UC HASTINGS LAW SCHOOL
Students may choose to stay at UC Hastings Law School housing, located 2 blocks from LINES Ballet.

  McAllister Tower | 100 McAllister St, San Francisco, CA 94102

 Must be 18 years or older

 Housing is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

  Meals are not provided.

  All registration & payments made directly with Hastings. More information will be available January 2019.

 

OFFSITE HOUSING
Students are not required to live in LINES Ballet secured housing. Please see our list of Alternative Housing Options.

HOUSING OPTIONS


SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY
Students may opt to stay at San Francisco State University (SFSU) dormitory housing.

  SFSU Dormitories

  Housing Fee: $2,700

 Students will travel independently by chartered bus between the dorms & LINES Ballet for classes Monday – Friday. Weekend bus service not offered.

  Breakfast & dinner included. Students provide their own lunch. Rooms are equipped with a MicroFridge® (dorm-sized refrigerator & microwave).

 Note on oversight for housing: Students must be mature enough to live away from home independently in a city setting, and follow set program and dormitory policies.

 Chaperones provide oversight at the dormitory ONLY. Chaperones will not travel to and from the LINES Ballet Studio or accompany students on errands and activities away from the dormitory.

JUNIOR PROGRAM

A robust one-week intensive designed for intermediate dancers ages 11 – 14 that introduces the LINES Ballet philosophy, LINES Ballet Repertoire and supports the technical and artistic growth of the contemporary ballet dancer.

  Students dance a minimum of 32 hours a week, culminating in an informal showing on the final day of the program.

 Curriculum may include: Ballet, LINES Ballet Repertoire, Improvisation, Modern, and Mentoring. Program Curriculum is subject to change.
