OCTOBER 12 - DECEMBER 7 (No Session on November 23)
This 8-week workshop provides a thorough introduction to modern/contemporary dance for absolute beginners and dancers wishing to expand their existing ability and knowledge. Students will learn the basics of healthy alignment, how to build strength and while increasing range of motion and flexibility, injury prevention, and movement vocabulary. Combining elements of Simonson, Cunningham and Horton techniques, classes include a range of warm-up, center, across the floor, and choreographic exercises to prepare the body for both subtle and rigorous movement.
