Senior Solo Concert
Join us in celebrating the artistry of the Class of 2023 as they present specially commissioned solos. Choreographers include guest artist Blakeley White-McGuire, current LINES company artists Babatunji Johnson and Michael Montgomery, and BFA alumni Héctor Jaime, Sierra Serban, and Madeleine Friedman.
Senior year in the BFA Program is full of new challenges and opportunities to grow. Each solo is an independent project, in that the seniors choose the choreographers that they wish to work with and rehearsals take place outside of the regular scope of the dance curriculum. Students have chosen LINES faculty, alumni, and local and national artists as their choreographers. The dancers choices reflect areas or movement styles that they are curious about, artistic relationships they wish to deepen, and personal challenges they are eager to face.
