Hosted by the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Arts Department, the Citywide Youth Arts Festival is a day-long event celebrating youth voices and the creative process by showcasing student visual and performing arts throughout San Francisco. Live performing arts events will take place on April 15, with visual art exhibitions taking place throughout the city from April 6–24. The April 15 showcase will feature live performances from SFUSD students in the music, theater, dance, and media arts disciplines.
LINES’ Education programs will participate in “teaching moments” and informal performances at four of the six designated zones. Come dance with LINES’ Community at the Children’s Creativity Museum, Mission Cultural Center, McKenna Theater at San Francisco State University, and Bay View Opera House. Performances and visual arts exhibitions begin at 10am and are free to the public.
