SUMMARY:Movement Exploration Workshop with Adji Cissoko
DESCRIPTION:Alonzo King LINES Ballet is proud to present this workshop on October 25\, made possible through the generosity of Victoria Zitrin\, a longtime supporter and cherished member of the LINES Ballet family. Victoria developed this initiative alongside Adji Cissoko and Madeline DeVries\, bringing together vision\, artistry\, and mentorship to make it a reality. \nAdji Cissoko will lead the movement workshop\, sharing her artistry and firsthand experience of the LINES philosophy directly with participants. Victoria will provide the leadership\, mentorship\, and sponsorship that have helped bring this experience to life. \n \nStep into LINES Ballet’s process… and join the conversation. \n\nFind freedom in movement and confidence in leadership.\nExplore the question: How can movement inform my leadership?\n\nWorkshop Structure \n\nWarm-Up – Prepare the body and mind for movement.\nCreation – Engage in guided improvisation and choreographic exploration.\nDiscussion – Join a thought-provoking conversation with community leaders.\n\nWorkshop Philosophy\nThis workshop is an opportunity to engage with the artists\, thought leaders\, and community members in the room. Movement exploration isn’t just about dance technique—it’s about artistic discovery\, freedom in movement\, and creating space for meaningful conversation. \nThrough movement and an open-circle discussion\, participants will explore what it means to lead in our community and consider how movement can inform how we lead\, connect\, and move through the world. \nParticipants are invited to: \n\nExplore their creativity\nEmbrace their artistry\nBuild community\nInspire and encourage one another\nFind freedom in movement and power in leadership\n\nP.S. Your $150 ticket not only reserves your place at the workshop\, but also supports Alonzo King LINES Ballet. The fair market value of the experience is $50\, and the remaining $100 may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for your generous support! \nIf cost is a barrier\, sponsored tickets are available. Please contact madeline@linesballet.org. \n\nPhotography: Alonzo King LINES Ballet | Adji Cissoko | © Madeline DeVries\, Richard Termine
