From Absolute Beginner Workshops that break down the fundamentals to Performance Workshops that explore choreography and the rehearsal process, these offerings will enrich your education in a personalized environment.

Summer Dance Teaching Artist Exchange 2024

Thursday and Friday, June 6–7 | 10am–5pm

Study the HeART with LINES Curriculum, a movement-centered approach to integrated learning that encourages play, diversity, and artistry in the every-day experience of students.

Choreography, Repertory, and Audition Workshop with Robert Moses

Friday through Sunday, June 7– 9 | 1:30–5:30pm

Connect to dots in the creation of choreography, using RMK repertory as a jumping off point. Plus audition for Robert Moses' Kin.

Contemporary Dynamics with Tim Rubel

Sundays | July 21–August 4 | 2–4pm

Enrich your dancing bodies through meditation, mindful technique, and invigorating choreographic sequences.

TYPES OF WORKSHOPS:

Absolute Beginner Workshops
No experience required! Start from the very beginning with sequential instruction focused on fundamentals of core disciplines in a non-intimidating atmosphere.

Performance Workshops
Looking for choreography and performance opportunities? Experience the creative process from the ground up alongside some of San Francisco’s leading choreographers. Performance workshops culminate with a performance for family and friends.

Intensive Workshops
Intensive workshops are an opportunity to spend several hours or days training with LINES Teachers, Guest Faculty, Company Members and Artistic Director, Alonzo King.

Self-Care Workshops
Self-care workshops offer an introduction to various healing modalities and Somatics and are designed to help you release tension, find flexibility and improve your overall wellness, so you can keep doing what you love to do most—DANCE!
