Students ages 11–25 are invited to audition for our 2025 Summer Program! We are searching for aspiring dance artists to train with our exceptional faculty this summer at LINES Dance Center.

Our Summer Program offers a unified approach to training. Rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King, our programs guide students on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking, creative power, and independent thinking.

Pre-Professional | June 9–30
Junior Week 1* | June 30–July 4
Junior Week 2* | July 7–11
Advanced | July 14–August 5

*Those accepted to the Junior Program may attend one or both weeks of the program.

AUDITION DETAILS
In order to better plan for Chicago’s audition, we are accepting pre-registrations without requiring the $35 audition fee at this time. As the date gets closer, we will communicate next steps, including how to submit your payment.
Summer Program Audition \| Ages 11–25 Saturday, January 18 6–8:30pm CT Check-in starts at 5:30pm CT	PRE-REGISTER
Format and Attire Details The audition consists of a ballet class, repertoire, and improvisation. Wear form-fitting dancewear and style hair neatly away from your face. Most students wear a leotard and tights or shorts, but there is no restriction on color or style. Pointe work is not required at the audition. Required Materials for LINES Summer Program Auditioners Please upload these items to your audition registration account in ACTIVE. Headshot \| No larger than 5 MB Dance Resume \| Training, School, Performance History Letter of Intent \| Describing your artistic goals Video Link for all dancers* \| 1–2 minutes of contemporary or improvisational movement Make sure all videos are set to public so we can view them. Registration and Refund Policies* —Fees paid by credit card only —No refunds. Dancers may transfer to another audition session —Online registration only Interested in our BFA at Dominican? Eligible dancers ages 17+ can use their Summer Program audition as an audition for our BFA Program at Dominican University of California. Please indicate your interest in being considered for both programs during registration. The BFA at Dominican application has two separate, mandatory parts to fulfill-the dance audition portion and academic portion. All requirements for the BFA can be found on the APPLY page. Please submit required materials for BFA separately to an Acceptd account. Note: The academic application are open and accepted on a rolling basis. The artistic application deadline is April 1, 2025.
