Don’t miss this up-close immersive collaboration between LINES and SFMOMA! Experience the virtuosic LINES company artists performing live in conversation with the compelling video exhibit by Ragnar Kjartansson.
Date: Saturday, September 6
Time: Noon–4:00 PM
Cost: Free with museum admission (exhibit on Floor 6).
For one day only, experience Ragnar Kjartansson: The Visitors in a whole new way as dancers from LINES Ballet perform live in dialogue with the video installation.
The Visitors transports viewers to a distinct, immersive setting, where they become witnesses to the artistic process as both a singular and collective experience. In this special pop-up performance staged alongside the work, the company artists of LINES Ballet complement, respond to, and expand upon the on-screen experience through choreography performed between the video projections that provides a living expression of the creative process.
Please note: There will be three to four dancers in The Visitors at most times during this program. The Visitors gallery may reach capacity at times during these performances. Lightweight portable stools are available for seating during this gallery program.
