    LINES Exploration Lab

    Join us for LINES Exploration Lab, a two-day workshop with past LINES Ballet company members. Get a sneak peek into the process that makes Alonzo King LINES Ballet and education programs so transformative. This first-hand experience into our distinguished training will include classes in ballet, contemporary, LINES repertory investigation, and explorative improvisation. These two days are designed to expose intermediate to professional students, ages 12–60, to our technical and explorative artistic approach to dance.

    Eligible dancers (ages 12–25) are invited to use this workshop intensive as an audition for our 2024 Summer Programs. It is included in your experience! Simply submit the required audition materials, which can be found on our Summer Program’s Audition page.

    Unable to join us for an in-person audition in one of our selected cities? You can still join us for our online audition for dance artists ages 11–25 led by two of our exceptional LINES faculty. Our (ON)LINES Audition is offered as part of the 2024 Summer Program and Training Program audition processes.

    Summer Program
    Our Summer Program is designed for aspiring artists ages 11-25 and offers a unified approach to training. Rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King, our programs guide students on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking, creative power, and independent thinking.

    Training Program
    A full-time two-year professional experience for avid dancers ages 18-24, our Training Program is designed to develop strong, versatile, and intelligent artists who are deeply committed and empowered to share their unique voices.

    In order to attend our programs in San Francisco, all eligible participants must provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19—including a booster shot—and comply with our organization’s masking mandates.     Designed to expand the technical and artistic excellence of dancers ages 11–17, our Teens Intensive offers five hours of daily training with a powerful roster of teachers.

    We invite teens to join us and expand outside their comfort zones!
