REGISTER (Ages 17–25)

Students ages 11–25 are invited to audition for our 2026 Summer Program hosted in San Francisco! We are searching for aspiring dance artists to train with our exceptional faculty this summer at LINES Dance Center. Class will be led by former LINES Ballet company dancer James Gowen.

Our Summer Program offers a unified approach to dance training. Rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King, our programs guide students on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking, independent thinking, problem solving through exploration, and a tenacious work ethic, expanding students’ understanding of what is possible with dance.

San Francisco Summer Program 2026 Dates
Pre-Professional (ages 18-25) | June 8–27
Junior Week 1* (ages 11-14) | June 29–July 3
Junior Week 2* (ages 11-14) | July 6–10
Advanced (ages 14-17) | July 13–August 1
*Those accepted to the Junior Program may attend one or both weeks of the program

Format and Attire Details
The audition consists of a ballet class, LINES repertoire, and movement exploration. Wear form-fitting dancewear and style hair neatly away from your face. Most students wear a leotard and tights or shorts, but there is no restriction on color or style. Pointe work is optional at the audition.

Required Materials for LINES Summer Program Auditioners

  • Registration | via ACTIVE portal
  • Headshot | No larger than 5 MB
  • Video Clip Link for ages 14-25* | 1–2 minutes of contemporary or improvisational movement highlighting your movement quality and artistic choices. This clip will help us remember you better and properly place you in our programs.

*Make sure all videos are set to public so we can view them.

—No refunds. Dancers may transfer to another audition session
