Teens at LINES is expressly created for curious young minds to explore their artistic potential. Over a Fall or Spring Session, students will collaborate in guided movement classes and improvisation, while gaining solid technique in ballet, contemporary, jazz, Horton, and hip-hop classes. The foundation of all of our classes is our ChoreoLab pedagogy, designed to encourage young peoples’ organic ideas in a collaborative and supportive way. At the end of each session, the artists will have an opportunity to share their artistic and social growth with family and friends during an in-studio showing.
Some students who have trained with Teens at LINES have been accepted into and continued their dance training at summer programs and universities. But all of our students experience personal growth which will aid them in whatever future endeavors they pursue.

Shloka brought a new level of dedication to dance, training virtually with us until the early morning due to the time difference. Before she starts at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, we ask her about her introduction to dance, her future dreams, and how her training at LINES prepared… Mindset shifts and LINES' supportive atmosphere helped Aisla, Ava, and Alyssa Villareal thrive and encouraged their mom as well. Settle in this Thanksgiving as the sisters share how they inspired each other and why the Teens at LINES program took their growth to the next level. Teens at LINES teacher Katie Roy shares how she transforms a studio into a laboratory, where inspiration is easily drawn, vulnerability is encouraged, and students are empowered to approach everything as practice. Alum Cardin Chung shares how Teens at LINES shifted his perspective on ballet and fed his creativity. From his home-built dance floor, to feedback from his teachers, to an analogy that transformed his dancing, we take a look at Cardin’s experience training online with us last spring.
