LINES Dance Center is located at Seventh & Market in the historic Odd Fellows building. It is less than a block from the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART and MUNI station and the many Market Street bus lines.
Our studios are home to Alonzo King LINES Ballet’s professional company, BFA Program at Dominican University of California, Training Program, and Summer Program. Each week, we offer open Advanced/Professional ballet classes where community members ages 16+ can train alongside our company dancers Monday through Friday (except in their off-seasons). To sign up for these classes, visit our Schedule Page.
LINES Dance Center is also home to a number of independently run classes hosted by esteemed Bay Area teachers. To sign up for one of these classes, contact the teacher directly.

In May 2021, Mayor London Breed announced a “Mid-Market Vibrancy and Safety Plan”, which is aimed at creating a safer environment in our neighborhood. Currently in effect, this plan includes an increased police presence combined with community ambassadors to cover every block of the area from Powell Station (5th Street) to 8th Street on Market Street and adjacent areas just south of Market Street, UN Plaza, and the Tenderloin blocks bordered by Larkin Street and Eddy Street. For your safety, please continue to be alert and aware of your surroundings when traveling through the area.
