Is the program in-person or online?
Until further notice, all Training Ground classes will be held in-person in San Francisco. Previously, we were able to conduct Training Ground seasons online, allowing it to be accessible to dancers around the world. Virtual programming is currently on pause, but we hope to return to it in the coming months. If you are interested in taking online classes through our Dance Center, please check the schedule!

What is the typical Training Ground class schedule?
Classes are held weekdays, beginning between 9-11am PT. The designed curriculum consists of 15 classes per week – 10 with the Training Program and 5 through the Dance Center – including Ballet, GYROKINESIS®, Contemporary, Improvisation, LINES Repertoire, and more. A sample schedule can be reviewed on the Schedule & Tuition.

Who is the curriculum designed for?
Training Ground is intended for avid pre-professional and professional dancers ages 18+. Our previous participants have come to the program from a range of backgrounds. Visit LINES Ballet’s Blog | LINESConnected, to read about some of our alumni’s stories.

Can I balance this program while I am in school or working a part-time job?
Yes, Training Ground was created with balance in mind, and past participants have found ways to combine the program with other commitments. For more information, please email training-ground@linesballet.org.

Can I attend Training Ground for more than one season?
Absolutely!

What are the Training Ground’s COVID-19 Protocols?
The Training Ground no longer requires proof of vaccination in order to attend and participate in in-person activities at the LINES Dance Center. “The communication between the students and the staff has been a wonderful resource. I have felt seen and heard and accepted through this program and that is very rare in the world of dance as I’ve known it. This ability to communicate has helped open my mind to many positive changes within myself and my dancing and I’m so very grateful for this program.”
