Join us for our online LINES Day Workshop and get a taste of Alonzo King LINES Ballet’s engaging and transformative training curriculum. This immersive six-hour experience is for artists ages 11-25 and will be led by former LINES Ballet company members Courtney Henry and Keelan Whitmore.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, February 20 | 9am – 3pm South Africa Standard Time
9am – 10:30am | Ballet (*with accompanist)
10:30am-10:45am | Break
10:45am – 12:45pm | LINES Rep
12:45pm – 1:15pm | Break
1:15pm – 3pm | Improvisation/Contemporary
While class times are listed in South Africa Standard Time (UTC +2), this workshop is open to dancers from all time zones. The February 20 schedule works well for dancers in Africa, Russia, the Middle East, and Europe.
LINES Day Workshops are offered as part of the 2021 Summer Program audition process, but may also be enjoyed as a standalone immersive dance experience. Students may choose to use the workshop as their audition for the Summer Program, however it is not required.
