LINES Youth Weekend

Dancers ages 11–17 are invited to come dance with us for the long holiday weekend during our LINES Youth Weekend. During this three-day intensive, students will experience the transformative approach that is an Alonzo King LINES Ballet education while working with current and former LINES Ballet company members and esteemed LINES faculty. Classes include ballet, LINES repertory, contemporary, floorwork, GYROKINESIS®, investigative improvisation, guided movement generation, & more.

Dancers may join us for the full workshop or choose to participate for just 1 or 2 days.

Students applying for our renowned 2026 Summer Program may also use LINES Youth Weekend as their audition. It is included in their experience!

Curriculum
Ballet, LINES Ballet Repertoire, Movement Exploration, Contemporary, and GYROKINESIS®

Dress Code
There is no dress code, nor are there restrictions of color or style. However, one must wear tasteful, form-fitting dance or athletic wear, and appropriate footwear (socks, ballet slippers) should be used for classes accordingly.

Required Materials for LINES Summer Program Auditioners
Please upload these items to your audition registration account in ACTIVE. 

• Registration | via ACTIVE account
• Headshot | No larger than 5 MB
• Video Clip Link for ages 14-25* | 1–2 minutes of contemporary or improvisational movement highlighting your movement quality and artistic choices. This clip will help us remember you better and properly place you in our programs.

*Make sure all videos are set to public so we can view them.

Registration and Refund Policies

Refunds available only to those who have paid in full, as follows:
– 50% of your paid tuition is refund available until two weeks before the workshop.
– No refund available less than 2 weeks before the workshop.
– Requests for cancellations must be sent to [email protected]
