Alonzo King LINES Ballet will be featured on PBS's NEXT at The Kennedy Center. The episode weaves together LINES' performance of Alonzo King's "Deep River" live at the Kennedy Center with intimate off-stage moments. The program premieres locally on KQED 9 at 9pm PT and can watched on PBS, pbs.org, and the PBS App at 10pm ET.

Her transcendental music has inspired Alonzo King since his childhood. Also on the program is King's latest work for the San Francisco Symphony set to Maurice Ravel’s enchanting "Mother Goose" suite. "San Francisco Classical Voice" called it "a marvelous visual feast."

LINES Ballet Family Experience

Guided by our LINES Ballet's Teaching Artists, families with children ages 4–12 will connect with choreographer Alonzo King’s work and philosophy while moving, grooving, and collaborating to create dances all their own. Join us for a two-day workshop audition with our renowned Training Program faculty and artists! Get an authentic look into our full-time two-year professional experience for avid movers ages 18–24.

LINES Exploration Lab

Intermediate to pre-professional dancers ages 12–60 are invited to join us for a two-day workshop in Birmingham, AL. Work directly with past LINES Ballet company members. This experience includes classes in ballet, contemporary, LINES repertory investigation, and explorative improvisation.

LINES Discovery Lab

Ages 11–36 are invited to join us for a three-day workshop with past LINES Ballet company dancers at Towson University in Maryland. Get a sneak peek into the process that makes Alonzo King LINES Ballet and our education programs so transformative. LINES Discovery Lab is also offered as part of our 2024 Summer Program audition process for those that are eligible.
