Alejandra Preciado, from Panama City, Panama, began dancing at the age of three and later continued her training in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned her B.F.A. from Alonzo King LINES Ballet at Dominican University, where she performed a diverse range of contemporary works. She remained in the Bay Area as a freelance artist before joining NW Dance Project, where she performed works by Sarah Slipper, Ihsan Rustem, Yin Yue, Nicole Von Arx, and Bryan Arias, among others. During her time with NW Dance Project, Ale played a significant role in the organization’s educational intensives while also creating original works on the company dancers. Now back in the Bay Area, she continues working as a performer, educator, and dance maker.
