Ilaria Guerra was born in Torino, Italy. At the age of five, she moved to Palos Verdes Estates, California where she trained in classical ballet at Lauridsen Ballet Center, performing with their pre-professional company, South Bay Ballet. She first fell in love with LINES Ballet in 2008, when she attended the LINES Ballet Summer Program. After joining the Alonzo King LINES Ballet | BFA Program at Dominican University in 2009, Ilaria graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Arts Management in 2013. She joined local SF performing company, dawsondancesf under the direction of Gregory Dawson in 2013. In 2016, Ilaria received an Isadora Duncan Dance Award for Ensemble Performance. Ilaria joined LINES Ballet in 2018, performing all over the US, Canada, and Europe with the company for almost 8 years. In 2022, Ilaria earned her Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University, expanding on her interests of supporting arts organizations from the inside out. Ilaria took her final bow with LINES Ballet in August 2025 and stepped into the role of Director of the LINES Ballet | Summer Program. In September 2026, she also took on the role of Chief of Staff to continue to support the company she has called home for almost 17 years.
