Born in Taipei, Taiwan. LeeWei Chao started his ballet training at age 15 with Ms. Xiao Lee, who brought from Russia the Vaganova ballet method to Taiwan. Mr. Chao has been teaching for multiple Alonzo King LINES Ballet programs, including for the Training Program, Summer Program, Dance Center, and BFA Program at Dominican University. He has also taught for Stanford University, ODC Dance/San Francisco, and Smuin Ballet, and among the others. Mr. Chao was featured in August 2018 issue of Dance Teacher Magazine is currently a faculty member with Oregon Ballet Theater and NW Dance Project.
