Summer Program Video Auditions
If you are unable to audition with us in-person, we welcome you to submit a video audition! We are searching for aspiring dance artists to train with our exceptional faculty this summer at LINES Dance Center in San Francisco.

Our Summer Program offers a unified approach to training. Rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King, our programs guide students on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking, creative power, and independent thinking.

Video Requirements
Audition footage should be no longer than 8 minutes in length. The intention is to show technical clarity, placement and understanding. Please include:
- Barre work | 1 side only
- Center adagio
- Pirouettes
- Petite & Grande Allegro
- Solo | 1–2 minutes of contemporary or improvisation highlighting your movement quality and artistic choices.
*Make sure all videos are set to public so we can view them.

Towson University LINES Day
Our LINES Day at Towson University is a one-day workshop designed to expand the technical and artistic excellence of intermediate to pre-professional students ages 11–35. Get a sneak peek into the experience and process that makes Alonzo King LINES Ballet and education programs so transformative. Students will work with former LINES company dancer Caroline Rocher Barnes and part of our amzaing LINES faculty.

Students applying for our renowned 2025 Summer Program may also use LINES Day as their audition. It is included in their experience!

In order to better plan for Chicago’s audition, we are accepting pre-registrations without requiring the $35 audition fee at this time. As the date gets closer, we will communicate next steps, including how to submit your payment.

Dedicated dancers with advanced training are invited to audition for our BFA at Dominican in San Francisco! Our unique four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program with Dominican University of California combines the acclaimed training and philosophy of LINES Ballet with Dominican University of California’s comprehensive liberal arts education and social values.

Our program offers students an unequaled opportunity to discover themselves as artists and as human beings—and to gain an excellent artistic and academic education along the way.

The BFA at Dominican application has two separate, mandatory parts to fulfill-the dance audition portion and academic portion. All requirements for the BFA can be found on the APPLY page. Note: The academic application are open and accepted on a rolling basis. The artistic application deadline is April 1, 2025.

This lovely group of skillful dancers will premiere works by acclaimed faculty artists Carmen Rozestraten and Dexandro Montalvo, with guest artists and Training Program alum Alejandro Perez, and Natasha Adorlee.

About Our Program
Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program cultivates intelligent and adept dance artists through a philosophy that fosters independent thinking, fearless investigation, and personal discovery. We propel students to thrive both as dancers and as human beings by pushing beyond their preconceived limitations and encouraging the embodiment of growth and versatility in all facets.

Students join us in profound processes of collaboration, creation, and performance of new works by leading choreographers. We challenge their artistic voices through a remarkable roster of renowned Bay Area, national, and international guest artists, and they experience the thrill of sharing their unique creativity with San Francisco audiences in performances like this upcoming winter showcase. Ultimately, we strive to develop strong, versatile, and compassionate artists who are empowered to share their unique voices.
