PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
Ages 18–25*
2027 PROGRAM DETAILS
This intensive three-week experience challenges aspiring dance professionals to merge technique with artistry in the spirit of Alonzo King’s philosophy—that dance is a path to self-discovery and transformation. Through daily training in ballet technique/pointe, LINES repertoire, various modern techniques, contemporary partnering, improvisation, the GYROTONIC® Method, and choreography, dancers refine their technical mastery while deepening creative expression. The program culminates in a showcase performance at the Fort Mason Center for the Arts & Culture, Cowell Theater in San Francisco.

*Must be 18 by start of program
**Do not make plans to travel the evening of the show.
We highly recommend you depart the following day.
Pre-Professional Program Housing Package
Housing is located in the Pacific Heights area of San Francisco and is within a short bus ride or walk from LINES Dance Center.
Package Includes:
- Breakfast and dinner daily
- Suites of 2-3 roommates furnished with beds, dressers, smart TV, mini-fridge, and microwave access in common space
- Private, Jack and Jill, or hall-style bathrooms
- Pillow, sheets, comforter, towels provided
- Linen service for sheets and towels twice a week; Complimentary housekeeping services three times a week by request
- Coin-operated laundry machines for personal use
- Free Wi-Fi
- 24-hours front desk reception
- On-site building manager

ADVANCED PROGRAM
Ages 14–17*

Designed for advanced dancers eager to expand both skill and imagination, this three-week program cultivates individual voice, risk-taking, and depth of expression central to the Alonzo King LINES Ballet ethos. Classes in ballet, LINES repertoire, contemporary styles, the GYROTONIC® Method, and improvisation strengthen technique while encouraging personal interpretation and artistic courage. The session concludes with a student performance at the Fort Mason Center for the Arts & Culture, Cowell Theater in San Francisco.

Advanced Program Housing Package

JUNIOR PROGRAM
Ages 11–14*
2027 PROGRAM DETAILS
This vibrant one- or two-week intensive introduces young dancers to the Alonzo King LINES Ballet philosophy—that movement is a form of exploration and growth. Training in ballet, contemporary, and LINES repertoire helps students build a strong foundation in both technique and artistry. Each session concludes with an informal studio showing celebrating creativity and confidence.

In-studio Showing | 4–5pm on last day of each week.
Friends & Family invited.
Dancers accepted to the program may attend one or both weeks.
