    Join us in Los Angeles for our 2024 Education Programs’ Audition! We are searching for aspiring dance artists to train with our exceptional, renowned faculty at our iconic LINES Dance Center studios in San Francisco.

    Summer Program
    Our Summer Program is designed for aspiring artists ages 11–25 and offers a unified approach to training. Rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King, our programs guide students on a collaborative journey that values risk-taking, creative power, and independent thinking.

    Pre-Professional | June 10–July 3
    Junior Week 1* | July 8–12
    Junior Week 2* | July 15–19
    Advanced | July 22–August 11
    *Junior students may attend one or both weeks of the program

    BFA at Dominican
    Our unique four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program with Dominican University of California combines the acclaimed training and philosophy of LINES Ballet with Dominican’s comprehensive liberal arts education and social values.

    Training Program
    A full-time two-year professional experience for avid dancers ages 18–24, our Training Program is designed to develop strong, versatile, and intelligent artists who are deeply committed and empowered to share their unique voices.

    Format and Attire Details
    The audition consists of a ballet class, repertoire, and improvisation. Wear form-fitting dancewear and style hair neatly away from your face. Most students wear a leotard and tights or shorts, but there is no restriction on color or style. Pointe work is not required at the audition.

    Additional Required Materials | Summer and Training Program

    • Headshot | No larger than 5 MB
    • Dance Resume | Training, School, Performance History
    • Letter of Intent | Describing your artistic goals
    • Video Link for all dancers* | 1–2 minutes of contemporary or improvisational movement
    • Letter of Recommendation (Training Program only), completed and emailed by teacher directly to [email protected]

    *Make sure all videos are set to public so we can view them.
     
    Application Process | BFA at Dominican
    The BFA at Dominican application has two separate, mandatory parts to fulfill-dance audition portion and academic portion. All requirements for the BFA can be found on the     APPLY page. Note: The academic application deadline is February 1, 2024. The artistic application deadline is March 1, 2024.

    Registration and Refund Policies
    —Fees paid by credit card only
    —No refunds. Dancers may transfer to another audition session
    —Online registration only

    Adult Choreography Intensive 2023

    Stretch your body and your mind as you learn and perform three short pieces in our Adult Choreography Intensive 2023! At the end of the weekend, you will be a stronger and more versatile dancer.

    During the intensive, you’ll work with three different choreographers of three separate genres. ArVejon Jones will guide you on a journey through jazz. He has a fierce passion for the style and an encyclopedic knowledge. Katie Roy will share her process for creating contemporary movement, understanding your organic impulse, and tapping into your innate creativity. And Victor Talledos will open your world to contemporary ballet, demonstrating how traditional movement can be broadened to make fresh, new artistic statements.

    Our Adult Choreography Intensive 2023 culminates in an in-person showing in one of our studios, a great opportunity to perform for friends, family, and peers.
